Rooted in the Nordic tradition of craftsmanship and resourcefulness, we approach wallpaper with respect.

Nordic Walls was founded by Anders, a painter and wallpaper installer, and his wife Malin, an interior architect. Coming from different perspectives, they understood the many aspects of walls. Anders had the more hands-on knowledge of how materials behave, how light hits a surface, and how the quality of installation greatly affects the final result, whereas Malin saw the bigger picture of how texture, proportion, and tone influence how a room feels to live in.

Their vision was to bring these two perspectives together. That idea marks the beginning of Nordic Walls.

Wallpaper Done Differently

Traditional wallpaper production is built for mass production, with designs constrained by what works in bulk manufacturing. Motifs typically repeat themselves with predictable layouts and no personalization.

So we do it differently.

We produce exclusively on demand, and every wallpaper is printed specifically for your order. It allows us to maintain close control over quality at every stage, from file preparation and color calibration to the final print and packaging. Producing on demand means no overproduction, no large inventories, and no unnecessary waste. It’s wallpaper personalization where you set the terms, not us.

To honor Anders and Malin’s vision, we always work with carefully selected materials chosen for durability, texture, and print clarity. We test our designs in real environments, observing how they react to different lighting throughout the day and to humidity, and we refine our color palettes until they feel balanced, not trendy.
